Glenn Dobson TDDA COO

Glenn Dobson

Chief Executive Officer

Glenn was a Senior Sergeant in the New Zealand Police, often working with the negative effects of drugs at a community level. He went on to several key management positions in local and central Government organisations before joining TDDA.

Glenn is a serving board member on the US-based National Drug and Alcohol Screening Association (NDASA) and is also qualified as a trained drug abuse recognition trainer from the California Narcotics Officers Association ‘CNOA’.

Leon Wood

Chief Operating Officer

Leon brings experience and expertise in business leadership, law enforcement, workplace regulations, and small business management to the role.

Before joining TDDA Leon spent 14 years in the New Zealand Police where he held leadership positions and was involved in teams tasked with investigating drugs and organised crime. He also held senior leadership roles in corporate security and financial crime teams before starting his own service-based ventures.

Rod is a former New Zealand Police Officer, a qualified detective and served in the Drug Squad where he investigated national and international drug dealing syndicates and New Zealand’s organised crime groups.   

More recently, Rod served on the committee that determined the AS 4760-2006 Oral Fluid Standard and is on the committee revising the AS/NZS 4308: 2008 urine drug testing standard. Rod is a serving board member on the US-based National Drug and Alcohol Screening Association (NDASA) and is chair of the “International Committee”. Rod is also qualified as a trained drug abuse recognition trainer from the California Narcotics Officers Association ‘CNOA’.

Michael Lindsay TDDA CIO

Chief Information Officer

Michael is an experienced IT professional, having served in c-suite roles across numerous organisations, and with over 20 years in the IT industry, he is known for pairing his IT expertise with business savvy.  

Michael’s specialties are business process re-engineering, IT automation and streamlining business architectures. Michael helps organisations use technology to increase security, compliance, efficiency, and agility.

Ryan Heale

Chief Financial Officer

Ryan started his career in public practice working at an independent audit and accounting firm for 5 years before moving to Deloitte where he gained a wealth of knowledge in the audit department working with some of New Zealand’s largest businesses. Ryan spent 3 years at Deloitte before moving out of public practice and into industry, taking a senior accounting role at a national manufacturing and energy efficiency business. 

Ryan’s focus is business optimisation and efficiency from tasks performed by the team to working capital and operating expenditure. 

Ryan is a qualified CPA and has a Bachelor’s degree and an Honours degree in Accounting.

Jim Doyle TDDA Board Chair

Originally from Scotland, Jim made his way to New Zealand in 1994. Starting life as an apprentice electrician, Jim became the Chief Operating Officer and then Chief Executive Officer of Navman, taking the organization from a $3 million company to a $500 million worldwide brand. 

After the sale of Navman in 2006, Jim initially semi-retired and worked as a company director and consultant for various technology companies. Jim is again semi-retired but continues to be a director and consultant in both business and sport. 

Kirk Hardy TDDA CEO & Board Director

Kirk is a former detective with the New Zealand Police and served in the Drug Squad where he investigated national and international drug dealing syndicates.  

With over 16 years’ experience in workplace drug testing, Kirk is an expert on substance use and testing technologies. He is a former long-standing board member of the U.S.-based Drug and Alcohol Testing Association (DATIA) and National Drug and Alcohol Screening Association (NDASA), and the former chair of both organisations’ international committees.  

Kirk is qualified as a drug abuse recognition trainer from the California Narcotics Officers Association ‘CNOA’, and regularly presents at international conferences on substance use. He is also on TDDA’s Board of Directors.

Andrew Wong TDDA Board Director

Andrew Wong is the managing director of HealthCare Holdings Ltd, a private healthcare investment company. He qualified as a specialist medical practitioner with a Masters in Public Health and a Fellowship of the New Zealand College of Public Health Medicine. With a career of over 25 years in both public and private health in New Zealand and overseas he has gained extensive experience in strategic planning and implementation, leadership and operational management.  

Andrew has held government appointments with Health Workforce New Zealand, the Health Innovation Hub, and is sitting on the Executive of the New Zealand Private Hospital’s Association.  

Callum Macdonald TDDA Board Director

Callum is the principal of Consulere Limited, a specialist consulting firm for litigation support and governance. Previously he spent 25 years in public practice both with his own prominent North Shore Chartered Accounting firm and an international Chartered Accounting firm after a period working in a large District Health Board.   

Callum splits his time between client advice, directorships, advisory board roles, trusteeships and court expert witness work. He is a member of the Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand and the Institute of Directors. 

Mike Bush TDDA Board Director

Julia Smith

Based in Australia, Julia has extensive C-Suite experience partnering with boards and CEOs across various industries to execute group-wide strategic plans and lead new commercial pursuits in Australia, New Zealand and China. 

Her experience spans operational management, strategy, M&A, finance, legal, project management, procurement, business transformation and risk management.  This includes 12 years of Big 4 consulting, corporate finance and audit assignments in Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong, South Korea, Japan, Thailand and USA.

Julia has had franchise experience as the Group CFO for a NZ investment group which owned New Zealand Natural Ice Cream with 700 global franchisees.

BCom and FCPA qualified, Julia has also held seven directorships over the past 10 years.

Robert Taylor

Director

As MercyAscot’s Chief Financial Officer, Robert is responsible for the overall provision of MercyAscot’s core financial services and systems. He also plays a major role in the financial management of a number of businesses related to MercyAscot’s parent company, Healthcare Holdings Limited (HHL) and in July 2018 was appointed as the HHL Group CFO. He also sits on a number of Boards for businesses related to HHL including MercyAscot (Ascot Hospitals and Clinics Limited). 

Prior to working in Healthcare, Robert held a number of senior roles in a variety of sectors, including retail, banking and audit, both in New Zealand and in the UK.

Robert holds a Bachelor of Commerce Degree and is a member of, and registered mentor, with the New Zealand Institute of Chartered Accountants (CA Designation).
