Topics covered in these 75 minute sessions include; work health and safety legislation; introducing your drug and alcohol policy; drug and alcohol testing in the workplace; drug and alcohol abuse risks and effects; drugs being tested for including illicit and prescription drugs; drug and alcohol testing procedures and what to expect.

In-house employee education caters for up to 35 employees per session.
Topics covered in these 4 hour training sessions include; duties under the Work Health and Safety legislation; statistics and facts about drug use and testing; drug and alcohol testing in the workplace; drug use signs and symptoms indicators and paraphernalia; establishing reasonable grounds; search and seizure; and group scenario work.
Attendance at this training includes our specifically designed TDDA smart phone Trained Managers drug app and certificate of course completion.
In house and public Managers Training courses are available and cater for up to 20 Managers per session.
Comprehensive Substance Identification Training (CSi)
TDDA has modified the scientifically backed Drugs of Abuse Recognition (DAR) programme to suit the workplace. This is the highest level of Drug and Alcohol education and the first of its kind to be delivered across Australasia.
Topics covered in this full day professional training course include:
- A greater understanding around problematic drugs in the workplace, including prescription medications.
- Understanding of the eight drug categories where all drugs that cause physical and mental influence fall into.
- Applying the Drugs of Abuse Recognition (DAR) 7 step process by examining the eyes, balance, coordination and pulse.
- When to apply the CSi process suited to the workplace and how to do so with confidence.
- Scenario and practical exercises.
- Working through the process guided by the TDDA CSi APP which will generate a report able to be sent to the manager responsible for the Drug and Alcohol portfolio.
- Where CSi fits with the company Drug and Alcohol policy.
Managers attending this training will receive our specifically designed TDDA smart phone CSi APP, A CSi trained certification card and a certificate of course completion.
CSi In house and public courses are available and cater for up to 20 managers per session.
The TDDA Phone App has been a great tool for use as it has empowered the team to follow their instincts and also gave them a credible opinion.
I was away from site and the onsite operator called me to inform of an incident. I queried what had happened and my suspicions were raised. We talked in length regarding the incident and I decided to use the TDDA app for confirmation prior to proceeding with any action.
I proceeded to open the reasonable cause checklist and started to fill it in with the relevant information supplied to me via telephone from the onsite staff, it quickly became apparent that we had reasonable cause to perform a BAC test, the test was conducted and was positive, the contractor was stood down.
I would recommend that any Manager or supervisor take this training and use the app in the day to day running of their business.
